The Lighthouse Project provides leadership in program development, coordinates training programs, and facilitates the efforts of our religious institutions to re-establish their position as the moral leaders of our community. This is done through counseling for youths, academic tutoring for students, counseling programs to enhance parenting skills while fostering a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem and spiritual renewal, mentoring programs for youth through our Mentors for Youth Program, public awareness programs that help adults develop skills that prevent their children from forming destructive relationships with their peers, programs involving our youth in volunteer service to the community offered by religious organizations and the collaboration with churches, schools, social service agencies, and law enforcement to strengthen community values.

• Mothers Against Gangs (MAG) - an organization offering parent support groups, youth advocacy, as well as, education and gang prevention programs for youth and adults. Kidsitters is a program offered in collaboration with Columbus Community Hospital, which offers youth: Safe Sitter training, CPR, conflict management, first aid and basic child development training. Youth are taught pre-employment skills and how to make babysitting a business.
• Faith Group Support and Counseling- Volunteers from Faith groups are trained to serve as counselors for youth and families in crisis. Families may call for assistance or be referred by the courts, schools or police. In addition to counseling, they receive help in accessing social service programs and are encouraged to get spiritually involved with their local faith group.
• The Annual Basketball Clinic and Public Safety Awareness Day - an annual day for youth and families that promotes positive youth development, a spirit of volunteering, and helps to build better relations with the public safety departments. Both motivational and inspirational messages are a part of this family program. Aside from learning basketball skills, the youth participants receive information against drugs and alcohol abuse, smoking, gangs and violence. Various workshops are also available for parents to attend. All participants receive a free lunch.

• Computer Literacy for all ages - Programs designed to teach participants to use the computer and the various programs associated with it (word, publisher, email, web surfing, etc.)
• Online Education - In conjunction with various organzations and businesses.
